About Anthony Austin

A Master Mariner.

A client-first approach.

With a global maritime career and approaching two decades of experience at sea, I provide independent, captain-led advice to private yacht buyers and the trusted professionals around them.

My role is to bring practical operational judgement into the purchase: helping buyers define what the yacht must do, assess shortlisted vessels and understand how specialist findings affect the wider ownership decision.

What makes us different

Much of the yacht-buying process begins with the vessel. I begin with how you intend to live, travel, host and spend time on board.

A yacht can look perfect online and still be wrong for the way you actually want to use it. The layout may not suit your guests, the range may not support your cruising plans, and the operational complexity may be greater than expected. The photographs may be beautiful, but the practical questions still need answering.

My role is to slow the decision down at the right moment: before the viewing, before the flight, before the offer and before momentum begins to shape the outcome.

I look beyond the listing and consider the yacht as a real working vessel, not simply a lifestyle image. That means thinking about movement on board, guest flow, crew requirements, range, machinery, comfort, maintenance, ownership complexity and whether the yacht genuinely fits the buyer’s life.

The value is not in making every yacht look risky. It is in helping you recognise which opportunities deserve closer attention and which should be left alone.

My advice is calm, private and practical. It is focused on your intended ownership experience and on helping you reach a clearer decision before committing significant time, money or trust.

The right yacht should feel exciting. It should also make sense.
